12th Grade Seminar Package (Student)

The YPE 12th Grade Seminar package will include a variety of components that address the biggest challenges and obstacles that high school seniors face. We will break down the many barriers that exist while encouraging each student to explore their goals, strengths, weaknesses, and ideas of what success means to them now versus what it might mean to them in the future. The senior seminars will largely focus on choosing their post-secondary options and creating a path towards success. This group of seminars will discuss life after high school, big decisions, relationships, and career paths.

Each seminar will contain the YPE student-centered pedagogical methods and variety of learning styles. We believe that a combination of approaches including constructivist, collaborative, inquiry-based, integrative, and reflective—have the greatest positive impact on students. As such, we will rely on a structure that includes each of these. In addition to the seminar package, we have included a YPE bonus: Networking Night! This is a night in which community-building is at the forefront and center. Each YPE student will have the option to attend (free of charge) the YPE Networking Night, where they will focus on building relationships with like-minded students, mentors, coaches, and educators.
